ICF AGM 2014
Zentrum Paul Klee
On Friday, November 14th we had our Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Paul Klee Centre in Bern. 56 members turned up for a memorable event in a beautiful location. Some highlights from the AGM were the unanimous adoption of the new bylaws for our chapter, the approval of our 2013 accounts and the election of the 2015 Board. In total 75 members used the e-voting feature and another 18 voted until the start of the AGM, with one vote being invalid. This meant that, to be elected, 47 votes (50% + 1) were the minimum required.
68 votes - Francoise Depéry
56 votes - Nathalie Ducrot
53 votes - Peter Wolf
51 votes - Ernst Bechinie
49 votes - Beatrice Sigrist
48 votes - Sonja Robinson
Neither Nathalie Ducrot (46) nor Ernst Bechinie (34) received sufficient votes for the Presidency and, given that we can have a maximum of 7 members in the Board according to our statutes, neither Martine Corthésy (43) nor Alexander Khatuntsev (43) achieved this. Therefore, the AGM, with the members present, as the supreme body of ICF Switzerland, went through a second round of voting with the result that Nathalie Ducrot was elected President and Martine Corthésy as the 7th Board-member. Thank you to Alex, Marie-Louise Zollinger and Myriam Mayer, who were not elected, for their willingness to stand as candidates.
With the acceptance of the new bylaws, Nathalie, Ernst and Beatrice, as current Board-members, were elected for one year, whereas, the other four new members have been elected for a period of 2 years. We will now go a phase of transition to ensure a proper handover.
The ICF Switzerland Chapter is thriving and this could really be felt during the day of the AGM. With 375 ICF members in Switzerland of whom 192 are credentialed we are in excellent shape. All of us need to continue to promote our profession and, amongst us, we need to leverage all our expertise, enthusiasm and motivation; I proposed to the AGM that we specifically need this for the German - and Italian part of Switzerland.
I would like to express a special thanks to Philippine Linn, Béatrice Tétaz and Marie-Louise Zollinger for their service to ICF Switzerland during these past years. Thank you also to all of you for your confidence in me for the past years. Finally, I'd like to congratulate the new Board-members and wish them all the best!
