The Path to Personal Transformation
Working with Fears & Emotions in Coaching
Speaker: Dr. Ernst Bechinie, MCC
“Understanding and excepting my emotions behind my actions gives me confidence and energy for what I do. With this I moved to a next level of leadership complexity.”
That’s how a president of a foundation explained her transformation from an executive role.
Transformation is the process of letting go of the way things used to be and then taking hold of the way they subsequently become. This process begins with understanding the emotions and assumptions behind our actions in our past. It means leaving behind what’s not adequate for our present life situation. And it finally leads to creating a new inner reality. In taking over a new leadership role in a company, becoming an entrepreneur or rearranging your personal life, the challenge is Transformation.
In this interactive workshop we show how our Fears – one of our central emotions - are connected with our four basic Needs: the need of becoming a unique individual, the need for love and being loved, the need for security and the need for change. Thereby we follow the work of the German psychologist Fritz Riemann, with which we demonstrate the constructive power of fears for personal and professional development.
