Happy New Year!
I am honoured to be serving as your chapter President in 2020 and am excited to experience with you all the opportunities, events and programs we are planning in the new year. The volunteer chapter board, which was elected in November and the chapter leadership teams have been working hard to create meaningful events and programs to help you develop professionally as a coach and share the profession of coaching with the community.
Please meet the ICF Switzerland extended leadership team
In an effort to ensure that you have continued access to high quality programs, we plan to continue to offer our traditional local events & programs, webinars, workshops designed to enhance your professional development and coaching business that are presented by experts in the field.
As for new events, I am pleased to announce that the Suisse Romande chapter plans to offer an innovative approach to the structure of their events to enhancing the benefits for their members in being more specific about the events’ themes and targeting different audiences (e.g. beginner coaches or advanced coaches). In total, there will be 4 or 5 events in the evening and two one-day or half-day workshops/masterclasses throughout the year.
Stay tuned with your local chapter news!
I would also like to inform you that ICF Switzerland is a main sponsor for the international Coaching Event in Olten, Switzerland on 8-10 June. The event with the title: "Coaching Meets Research" is organised by University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland (FHNW), and is taking place only every two years. It promises to be an exciting event for the Swiss coaching community. Find out more on https://www.coaching-meets-research.ch/conference-2020/registration and take advantage of the ’Ultra-Early-Bird’ ticket price as well as the concession price you will get as ICF Switzerland is the main sponsor of this event. The “Ultra-Early-Bird” ends on January 31st. Hope to see you there!
This year also marks ICF Global’s 25th anniversary. Over the past quarter-century, we’ve evolved from a membership association created to give credibility to an emerging profession into the leading voice for the global coaching community. Our vision is to ensure that coaching is an integral part of a thriving society. You will be duly informed about the celebrations to come!
One of my goals for this year is to make sure that you are seen and heard. To that end, feel free to let me know your ideas and thoughts as the year progresses. I am looking forward to a year of growth for our chapter in 2020.
All the best,
Elias Gharbi, President ICF Switzerland
