ICF Switzerland Chapter Basel: Virtual event
Solution Focused Team Coaching
Thursday, 12 November 2020 18.00-19:30
Kati Hankovszky & Jesper H Christiansen
Solution Focused Team Coaching focuses on developing solutions and practical steps to execute in the daily business. By concentrating on the skills and competencies of the team members, any progress will be built on their strengths and resources.
While coaching and team coaching are emerging and getting better or even well-defined disciplines by today, a welcomed diversity in approaches leads to large differences in process and assumptions. Core competencies of the coach (ICF) will lead us to meet a specific approach to team coaching. Research says the 2nd most used coaching approach is Solution-Focused coaching approach. In this workshop we use this terminus for a brief and future- and resource oriented procedure which opens up a large variety in formats for the interaction and follows flexible clients’ desire.
Negotiate meaningful goals as part of the coaching assignment
Use the pre-defined goals for finding emergent, client driven direction for the change through coaching
Partner with your clients – with all of them individually and with the team: the same time
Ask for advice from the team: share responsibility for progress
Invite your clients to learn from the moment: coach the who of each and everyone while they are working as a team
Demonstrate your focus on desired change and resources of the team and its members: by using direct and client specific language
Be there for the team – while they are there for their issue
