A Framework to Capture Impact of Leadership Coaching

Speaker: Willem Jan Hofmans, PCC

Measuring the impact of coaching, and providing the hiring client with KPIs (=Key Performance Indicators) is a challenge many Business Coaches are faced with on a daily basis. The question of ROI (=Return of Investment) of the coaching program comes up frequently in the discussions with clients and deserves a thorough evaluation:

This interactive presentation will focus on the evaluation of the impact of coaching leaders. At the origin is a doctoral dissertation in which an integrated evaluation framework has been used to analyze 30 leadership coaching engagements in which 6 coaches were involved.

Participants will learn about leadership coaching outcomes and the contributions of different factors. The role of mindfulness will be discussed as well as the client-coach relationship and the role of coaching objectives.

  1. Understand an approach to measure coaching outcomes.
  2. Become aware of important aspects of the client-coach relationship.
  3. Appreciate the impact of clear coaching objectives.

"Improving leadership effectiveness and business results" underpins Willem Jan's approach to executive coaching. He knows leadership excellence is a choice and the best way to encourage and retain top talent is to offer opportunities for them to grow, develop and improve organizational quality. Willem Jan aids senior executives enhancing their self-awareness, authenticity and ability to relate to others as a means for improved performance and lasting personal and professional transformation.

Willem Jan has been an Executive Coach since 2007 and holds a PCC from the ICF. To this he brought 25 years all-round experience as a senior executive in the healthcare and IT sector. He has lived in the Netherlands, USA, South Africa, Germany and Switzerland, and has travelled to many more countries. Willem Jan holds a Bachelor's degree in Business from Nijenrode (Netherlands). He then went on to receive his Master in International Business from the University of South Carolina (USA). A doctoral candidate at the Grenoble Graduate School of Business (France), Willem Jan's thesis is on the effectiveness of executive coaching.
