Resilience - rising above uncertainty

Speaker: Janine Ahlers

Resilience is the capacity to withstand changes around us and to act in ways that allow us to endure. This session will explore the power of resilience as a way of overcoming uncertainty.
During this session we will explore the elements and capacities that make up resilience. We will assess how resilient we are and what the impact of that is on the decisions and actions we take around us.
This session will also explore the practices, reflections and readings that coaches can assign to clients to build greater resilience. Leaving the session will equip delegates with more creative ways to build the competence and capacity of this key quality in our modern world.

  • To understand the dimensions of resilience and how it shows up in people’s thoughts, feelings and actions.
  • To be able to assess how resilient people are and what needs to be done to grow this key capacity
  • To be able to translate resilience theory in to practical ways of working with coaching clients
