Janine is an ICF-certified MCC coach and Academic Director of the Centre for Coaching. She is also a Senior Lecturer at the GSB, where she lectures in Coaching and Leadership Development to MBA and Executive Education students. Janine has delivered and published research papers at academic peer-reviewed conferences, and has published book chapters and articles on the topic of coaching in leadership development.
Janine has been coaching since 2002, and has over 3,300 coaching hours logged. Her extensive experience in teaching ICF-accredited ACC and PCC programmes over the past twelve years has given her a deep appreciation for the theory and practical application of coaching work in the world.
As co-director of the Centre for Coaching she also spearheads coaching and leadership development programmes at blue-chip companies, working on their strategic, leadership and relationship challenges in both the first world and developing economy environments.
She is passionate about finding ways in which to make life more enriching, purposeful, successful and meaningful for those she works with.
Janine spent more than 10 years working in the corporate and manufacturing environment where she was required to network and operate at senior executive levels. She held positions as Director, Exco member, Head of HR, and handled marketing, production & start-up operations. Janine is a qualified violin teacher and held several musical positions in the National Orchestra before she started her corporate career. She continues to play the violin in orchestras, quartets and with her two sons whenever possible.
