ICF Swiss Newsletter May 2019

Dear member,

ICF Switzerland volunteers have been very committed to organizing and attending many events in recent weeks:

  • Personal Swiss, the largest Human Resources conference in German-speaking Switzerland, in Zurich on April 2 and 3. We were present at the ICF stand to answer visitors' questions: Can anyone be a coach, regardless of their education and professional experience? What do I need to do to differentiate myself as a coach? What should I be aware of when looking to hire a coach? Thank you to Agnieska Rychlewska for this wonderful organization, and to the volunteers Philip Atkinson, Elias Gharbi, Diego Hangartner, Christiane Kosub, Anna Sagalova, Dominique Velaers and Lea Weyermann Lozar for their commitment on the booth.

Agnieszka Rychlewska and Debbie Brupbacher also presented in English and German: "Is coaching a fad, fashion or a profession?"

Swiss Romande

To celebrate the International Coaching Week, the ICF Chapter of ‘Suisse Romande’ organized a whole day of free coaching sessions at the ‘Centre de Liaison des Associations Feminines Genevoises” (CLAFG). The CLAFG is federating close to 40 local associations serving women exclusively, in a variety of situations, political contexts and social problematics.
So on Tuesday April 30th, a number of experienced ICF-certified coaches offered their services in several languages and enabled women members from these associations to discover coaching and benefit from a one-hour session. It was nicely organized, warm and fun. A very special day for all participants of both sides!
